Welcome to the web site of the First Congregational Church of Ripon Wisconsin, a United Church of Christ. As pastor of this exciting and interesting congregation I have found daily new challenges in servant leadership which energize me and cause me to believe that this church, begun one hundred fifty some years ago, is today as vital as the day it was founded.
In this place you will find a community that has the capacity to both think and feel. Worship is both intellectually stimulating and emotionally satisfying as we try to minister to both the head and hearts of our worshippers. We are a community that is involved in local, state, national and international concerns that affect human beings wherever they are.
We give generously to help others who without our help suffer in ways that are unimaginable to us today, living comfortably in the center of our society. And, through that giving, we attempt to find ourselves at the heart of the Passion expressed by Jesus of Nazareth who modeled for us how to live, by giving ourselves freely to others.

I believe our church is one of the most diverse communities I have been part of since becoming a pastor. The beliefs of the church range from liberal to conservative with the ability to not only tolerate differences but to learn from one another why we believe what we do. We are a church that says all are welcome and I personally believe that folks find a home here coming from many theological traditions, lifestyle differences, and backgrounds.
We welcome you to visit us once or many times and expect the spirit you experience here will infect you and bring you back for more of what I believe you will find no where else in our community.
