Looking for a church? It can be both time-consuming and overwhelming. We hope we can ease your search.

First Congregational Church of Ripon (First Congo) is made of a mix of believers. Our congregation is home to Tea Partiers and former Woodstockers, liberals and conservatives, those of the Millennial Generation and those of the Greatest Generation. We are a diverse community with a diverse set of interests and we don’t take ourselves too seriously. We won’t tell you what to think or how to feel. We respect all of our backgrounds and experiences, which play a valid role in shaping our interpretation of our faith.

Both the sanctuary and chancel are wheelchair accessible. Our sanctuary is equipped with a special system for those who require assistance hearing. For more specifics, questions, or to request a special accommodation before your visit, please contact us!

Every week is a little bit different, but if you’ve ever been a part of a congregational church before, you won’t feel lost! We follow a traditional congregational style and sing hymns from the New Century Hymnal, while opening the floor for diverse music options such as guitar, ukulele, trombone, and percussion. Sermons are relatively short, down to earth, and relate the Bible to everyday life. There is a short children's moment, after which the kids are welcome to go downstairs to the nursery. Communion takes place on the first Sunday of each month.
